Hi there!

I’m Aly Zhang, a Chinese Australian creative based in Melbourne, working across film, comedy, performing arts, and digital media as an actor, improviser, and occasional filmmaker and writer. More recently, I've begun pursuing stand-up comedy, bringing together my background in acting, improvisation, storytelling, and physical performance. I've also been a producer across both film and live theatre, giving me experience on both sides of the creative process.

I love creating stories and experiences that feel human, engaging, and emotionally resonant—whether that's on set, on stage, behind the scenes, or online.

My work has spanned film, television, theatre, live performance, and commercial campaigns, with credits including Netflix, Paramount+, Apple TV+, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and the Melbourne Fringe Festival, as well as brands including McDonald's, Mastercard, Adidas, Lexus, Cadbury, Deloitte, SkinCeuticals, Disney Australia, Warner Bros. Australia, and Sony Pictures.

Alongside my artistic practice, I also work as a corporate professional in creative, digital, and business roles, in content, strategy, and experience design/build across technology, finance, the arts, and FMCG.
