Hi there!

I’m Aly Zhang, a Chinese Australian creative based in Melbourne, working across film, comedy, performing arts, and digital media as an actor, improviser, writer, and occasional filmmaker. My work has appeared across film, TV, stage, and commercial projects, appearing on Netflix, Paramount Plus, Apple TV, and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, as well as for brands like McDonald’s, Mastercard, Adidas, Lexus, Cadbury, Deloitte, SkinCeuticals, Disney AU, Warner Bros. Australia, and Sony Pictures.

I love creating stories and experiences that feel human, engaging, and emotionally resonant — whether that’s on set, on stage, behind the scenes, or online. Alongside my creative work, I also work as a corporate professional in creative digital and corporate spaces, blending content, strategy, and experience design across technology, finance, arts, and FMCG.

I hold an MFA in Film & TV (Documentary) from the Victorian College of the Arts, University of Melbourne, and a Bachelor of Performing Arts (Honours) from Beijing Film Academy. I’m also a Taekwondo black belt, a classical pianist (LMusA), and content creator across personal and branded projects.
